Job summary

Kay and Associates, Inc. seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III to lead maintenance on F/A-18 E-F aircraft at VFC-12 Oceana, VA. The role includes inspecting, repairing, and modifying airframe/powerplant components while guiding junior technicians and ensuring compliance with Navy/NM guidelines.

Preferred qualifications include 5+ years of F/A-18 experience and in-depth knowledge of 4790/NAMP programs; competitive hourly pay, health benefits, 401k, and PTO/holidays are offered.

Qualifications

• Aircraft ordnance qualification with five+ years aviation maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain CDQAR within 90 days.
• Must work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as required.
• Strong knowledge of NAMP/4790 maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team in aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled work on F/A-18 aircraft.
• Provide technical guidance to lower level technicians and interpret manuals.
• Maintain and repair aircraft structures, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related subsystems.
• Document maintenance actions in logs and records.
• Coordinate aircraft moves and support equipment usage.
