Job summary

Revolution Geosystems, LLC seeks a seasoned Director of Flight Operations and Safety to lead our aerial survey flight operations, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of the aircraft fleet. This executive role also manages projects, training, and key client relationships across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in aviation operations, FAA SMS or equivalent experience, and strong geospatial data familiarity, with a proven ability to foster a proactive

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of aviation operations experience.
• 3-5 years in a leadership or management capacity.
• Experience leading FAA-compliant Safety Management System (SMS) or equivalent risk programs.
• Aerial survey data collection experience preferred.
• Familiarity with large-format airborne sensors is a plus.
• Experience creating technical and project documentation and reports.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for flight operations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead the development and ongoing improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Oversee flight crews recruitment, training, and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and optimize workflows.
• Monitor project finances, generate status reports, and guide project teams.
