Job summary

Jet Aviation Staffing in Andover, MA, is seeking a Director of Safety & Security to lead the day‑to‑day management of safety programs and to develop the company’s Safety Management System. This role requires serving as a liaison with FAA, NTSB and other regulators and promoting safety culture across the organization.

You will collaborate with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Chief Flight Instructor, Director of Maintenance and the Executive Vice President to ensure compliance with 14 CFR

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience with Part 121 or 135 air carriers.
• 3 years’ relevant work experience with air carrier safety.
• 2 years of prior leadership experience.
• Knowledge and operational experience of 14 CFR Part 91 and Part 135 operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field of study, preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with department heads to develop and execute the day-to-day management and administration of company safety programs.
• Develops the company’s Safety Management System, promoting safe actions and serving as a liaison with FAA, NTSB and other regulators.
• Meets requirements as 14 CFR Part 119.65 Director of Safety.
• Manages safety programs including ASAP, IEP, FRMP, TFFSP and safety training.
• Acts as Accident Investigation Team Leader and NTSB Party Coordinator in events.
• Reviews and evaluates ERP and safety drills.
• Maintains safety training materials and conducts safety audits.
