Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking an Aviation Student Intern to gain hands-on exposure at the Birmingham airport and our Corporate Office. The role focuses on flight operations, aircraft maintenance operations, and flight scheduling while providing administration support.

You will collaborate with the Aviation team, work on projects, and present what you learned to senior leadership at the program's end. The internship runs June 7, 2027 through July 30, 2027, and offers opportunities to connect with

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Aviation Management, Aviation Flight Operations, or related field.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Participate in flight planning activities.
Participate in pre and post flight briefings.
Support pre-departure/arrival activities (ground handling, aircraft servicing, customer support).
Assist with sourcing requirements (work orders, parts/materials ordering, supplies, tracking).
Support flight scheduling activities (securing services, customer support, record keeping).
Administrative tasks (invoice processing, payment requests).
Project work (process improvement, manual development).
Complete tasks accurately and timely; learn about the company and department; participate in intern activities; present job skills learned.
