Federal Express Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis to perform safe, efficient maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft over 12,500 lbs MEW. You will execute planned and unplanned tasks, troubleshoot systems, and document results clearly while coordinating with a team.
The role requires an A&P license, High School Diploma/GED, and a valid non-restricted driver’s license. Expect to work at FedEx MX locations with adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi and troubleshooting aircraft at various MX locations as assigned to minimize delays, cancellations, and OOS impacts. Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with the appropriate Manuals. Communicate exceptions as they occur and create accurate and complete write-ups with all inputs in a timely manner. Additionally, when there is no manager or lead onsite, to accept the daily work release plan. Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED Current A&P Licenses required. Valid non-restricted driver’s license from the state of residence
Thirty-six (36) months aircraft maintenance experience on turbine powered Aircraft that exceed 12500 lbs. MEW. Previous experience does not include A&P school and training.
FAA covered safety sensitive position. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. A valid non-restricted driver license from the state of residence is required.
Preferred Skills: Taper sanding, wet lay ups, prepreg hot bonds, core replacement, metal to metal bonding, complex vacuum bagging, and identifying materials and references. The desired location for this position would be Indianapolis, Indiana. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
