FedEx Express in Memphis, TN is seeking skilled avionics technicians to perform safe and efficient maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft at MEM locations. You will execute planned and unplanned maintenance, run engines, perform taxi checks, troubleshoot faults, and prepare complete write-ups to minimize delays and outages.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, current A&P license, and a valid driver’s license.
Provide safe and efficient maintenance, including repair, engine run, taxi and troubleshooting aircraft at various MX locations as assigned to minimize delays, cancellations, and OOS impacts. Execute planned and unplanned maintenance tasks in accordance with the appropriate Manuals. Communicate exceptions as they occur and create accurate and complete write-ups with all inputs in a timely manner. Additionally, when there is no manager or lead onsite, accept the daily work release plan. Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma/GED. Current A&P Licenses are required. Valid non-restricted driver’s license from the state of residence.
Thirty-six (36) months aircraft maintenance experience on turbine powered aircraft that exceed 12,500 lbs. MEW. Previous experience does not include A&P school and training.
FAA covered safety-sensitive position. Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. A valid non-restricted driver license from the state of residence is required.
