Northeast Aero is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support our MRO operations across component repair departments. The role partners with Production, QA, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales to deliver reliable, compliant service.

Responsibilities include test stand design, failure analysis, and evaluation of equipment and data. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in mechanical engineering within aviation/aerospace, CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and strong project-management and

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in an MRO, aviation, or aerospace environment.
• Experience with test stands and instrumentation is preferred.
• Familiarity with FAA Part 145, EASA, and AS9100 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review equipment and tooling capabilities and recommend purchases or manufacturing.
• Evaluate requests from Production, QA, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales.
• Participate in modernization of test stands and design of new ones as needed.
• Analyze test stand performance to reduce rejections and improve efficiency.
• Assist QA in investigations of component failures and prepare teardown reports.
• Review Service Bulletins and Engineering Orders and recommend incorporation into MRO service.
• Prepare clear technical reports and communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
• Work independently and manage multiple department requests.
