Job summary

Cutter Aviation is seeking an energetic MRO General Manager to oversee maintenance operations in Addison, Texas. This role manages projects, resources, safety, and profitability while serving as the primary face of Cutter Aviation to owners and operators of piston and turboprop aircraft.

The GM will lead the maintenance department, ensure regulatory compliance, drive customer satisfaction, and own the P&L and budget efforts. Strong leadership and aviation knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience in aviation service environment.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
• High degree of technical knowledge with respect to FARs and aircraft inspection programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance department activities to meet financial targets.
• Assist customers in developing work-scope and direct team to complete projects successfully.
• Maintain full P&L responsibility for Operations.
• Hire, train, and develop technician staff.
• Ensure facility conforms to Safety Management Systems and FAA documentation requirements.
• Maximize cash cycle from sales order to invoice payment.
• Interface with Marketing to drive high-value solutions and market penetration.
• Generate annual budget aligned with company objectives.
• Ensure proper work records are executed by personnel.
• Achieve sales, profit, and operating metrics for the department.
