Job summary

Cutter Aviation, a premier aviation services provider in the Southwestern United States, seeks an MRO General Manager to lead maintenance operations, ensure safety and profitability, and serve as the primary face of the company to owners/operators of piston and turboprop aircraft.

The role requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of FARs, and proven ability to manage customer relationships while driving high-value solutions across the Cutter portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervisory or managerial experience in an FBO or aviation service center environment.
• Proven skills in developing and maintaining customer relationships
• Strong customer-centric mindset with ability to translate issues into profitable solutions.
• High degree of technical knowledge with respect to FARs and aircraft inspection programs.
• Knowledge of Pilatus, Piper product lines is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• MS Excel and Word proficiency for internet research

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance department activities to meet financial targets.
• Assist customers in developing work scopes and direct teams to complete projects on time.
• Maintain P&L responsibility for the operation.
• Hire, train, and develop technician staff.
• Ensure facility adheres to Safety Management Systems requirements.
• Ensure FAA documentation is generated and procedures followed.
• Maximize cash cycle from sales order to invoice payment.
• Interface with Marketing to drive high-value solutions and market penetration.
• Achieve customer satisfaction objectives: On-Time, On-Budget, Completed Right the First Time.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Warranty departments.
• Develop and manage annual budget in line with company objectives.
• Maintain proper work records and scheduling best practices.
• Meet sales, profit, and operating metrics for the department.
