Job summary
JHNA is seeking a Software Engineer/Architect focused on Physical Modeling and Simulation for aviation engagements. You will apply AFSIM and related tools to analyze survivability, mission effectiveness, and capability gaps in Army aviation contexts, bridging operational analysis with technology development.

Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- C# and C++ programming experience
- Modeling & Simulation experience with AFSIM
- Defense/government analytical experience or equivalent
- Ability to communicate technical results clearly
- Familiarity with classified/unclassified DoD environments
Responsibilities
- Assist Government in identifying capability gaps by evaluating new concepts enabled by aviation technologies
- Conduct operational task analysis with Government engineers and technology developers
- Support development and execution of M&S environments for manned-unmanned teaming and survivability analyses
- Assist in scenario design, scripting, and test vignette development for autonomous and threat interactions
- Provide engineering support for software integration testing and model verification in live/virtual/constructive frameworks
- Conduct survivability and mission effectiveness assessments using government tools
- Document findings and recommendations in clear reports for Government users and transition partners
- Prepare technical artifacts for Validity Control Boards and implement approved model changes
