Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Riviera Beach, FL to support the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and hydraulic systems used in high-performance aerospace, defense, and marine applications.

You will operate overhead/gantry cranes and forklifts, inspect and service hydraulic components, perform tube bending, assemble hoses, read schematics, and ensure safety and quality across projects with possible travel for up to three weeks at a time.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, fabrication, industrial assembly, or related environment.
• Experience operating overhead or gantry cranes; rigging/hoisting certification preferred.
• Current forklift certification and practical material handling experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics, diagnose system issues, replace components, and service systems.
• Proficiency with torque wrenches, impact tools, and torque auditing equipment.
• Knowledge of O-rings, seal materials, installation procedures, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to travel for assignments lasting up to three weeks at a time.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and safety mindset.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate cranes and hoists per safety protocols.
• Operate forklifts for material movement and installation.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform tube bending and fabrication for hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Manufacture, assemble, inspect, and pressure-test hydraulic hoses and assemblies.
• Use torque tools to achieve bolt tensions and document compliance.
• Read hydraulic schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical assemblies.
• Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Travel for field/site projects as required.
