Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Mechanical Engineer for our client in Upington, South Africa. You will design, analyze, and validate mechanical systems for aircraft, contributing from concept through production support.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree and has experience in aerospace or related fields, with proficiency in CATIA/SolidWorks and FEA tools. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proven experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably within the aerospace industry
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus)
• Strong understanding of material science and manufacturing processes relevant to aerospace
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with aviation industry standards and regulations
• Ability to manage project tasks and timelines effectively

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for aircraft applications.
• Perform mechanical analysis, including stress, thermal, and vibration analysis, using FEA tools.
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings for manufacturing.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
• Support the testing and validation of mechanical components and systems.
