Job summary

Air Methods in Parsons, KS seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, inspections and alterations on company aircraft in accordance with FAR Part 135, Ramco ERP procedures, and Air Methods manuals.

You will verify part numbers and documentation, ensure accurate maintenance records, participate in SMS improvements, and communicate aircraft status to PIC; travel 25–50% and be on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-5 years related aircraft maintenance experience is required.
• Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred.
• FAR 135 operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Verifies part numbers and serial numbers match documentation after installation/removal of components.
• Ensures all maintenance documentation complies with FARs, company policies, and manuals.
• Participates in continuous improvement phase of the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.
• Advises PIC of maintenance issues that would take aircraft out of service.
• Validates data in Status Reports for the aircraft being serviced.
• Requests aviation parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.
