Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician Level II to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on airport facility systems and controls at our Houston operations. You will document activities in the CMMS and respond to maintenance requests to minimize downtime.

The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, 3+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain airport security clearance.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 3+ years of equipment and maintenance operations experience.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility systems and controls.
• Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment conditions in the CMMS.
• Execute reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, including emergency response.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system failures and determine corrective actions.
• Promptly communicate critical equipment conditions, operational impacts, and maintenance updates to the Site Manager.
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and work orders to perform required service tasks.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment failures to minimize operational downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, motor controls, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other components.
• Assist with identifying root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to AOA Maintenance Technician I as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and collaborate effectively within a diverse team.
