Qualifications

Overview

EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring an Aviation Maintenance Technician II (AMT II) for our team. The AMT II will support large-scale aerial survey operations. Primary responsibilities will include interfacing with other AMTs, establishing best practices for aircraft and camera system maintenance, and performing signoffs for camera maintenance and installations in accordance with FAA regulations. The candidate will also be responsible for inspections, repairs, modifications, periodic maintenance, and service of aircraft within the limits of the employee’s Federal Aviation Association (FAA) Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) certificate with respect to Part 91 operations.


Responsibilities

  1. Work with a team of AMTs, or individually, when necessary, to maintain a fleet of piston engine aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR Part 91 operations.
  2. Work with a team of AMTs, or individually, when necessary, to repair aircraft accessory parts.
  3. Perform tasks associated with Annual inspections, routine periodic inspections and maintenance, and non-routine inspections and maintenance of PFA aircraft.
  4. Troubleshoot and assess cause and effect of discrepancies, abnormalities, or safety concerns and report findings to the AMT Site Lead or AMT Team Lead if applicable. Complete appropriate reports and documentation as required.
  5. Remove and install camera equipment per EV, PFA, and FAA guidelines and requirements.
  6. Complete all documentation of aircraft work in accordance with PFA, EV, and FAA Policies and Standards.
  7. Travel to off-site facilities when necessary to perform maintenance on aircraft.
  8. Assist with inventory and shipping as necessary.
  9. Perform tasks to maintain hangar and facilities.
  10. Perform all tasks to a high standard of safety that meets or exceeds all PFA, FAA, and OSHA requirements.
  11. Successfully complete all required compliance training.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
  2. Experience working on multi-engine piston aircraft.
  3. 3 to 5 years’ experience.
  4. Valid Driver’s license.
  5. High school diploma.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  1. Experienced with 14 CFR Part 91, Part 43, and Part 65, subpart D regulations.
  2. Experienced with reading and understanding maintenance manuals, Illustrated Parts catalogs (IPCs), service instructions, service bulletins, and Airworthiness directives (ADs) in both paper print and electronic format.
  3. Proficient written and verbal communications skills.
  4. Proficient technical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
  5. Ability to interact well with a team.
  6. Demonstrated strong work ethic.
  7. Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.
  8. Well-organized, dependable, and self-sufficient.
  9. Proficient with sheet metal fabrication and repair.
  10. FAA Private Pilot certificate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  2. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach.
  3. Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  4. Ability to occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.
  5. Ability to comfortably travel long and short distances.

This is a full-time position located in our Burlington, NC. Hangar with a base compensation range of $26.00 - $32.00 per hour.
