Pharmacy Technician I/II - Wilson Community Health Center

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician I/II at Wilson Community Health Center with Carolina Family Health Centers, Inc.

Position Overview

Pharmacy Technicians at our Wilson Community Health Center assist pharmacists in various services, including patient eligibility, medication access, filling, and dispensing, following regulations set by governing bodies such as the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.

This position offers a 40-hour workweek, no weekends, full benefits, 12 paid holidays, and bi-weekly pay.

Essential Tasks
  • Manage the pharmacy patient service area and related activities.
  • Accept new or refill prescription requests and distribute prescriptions to patients or representatives.
  • Register patients accurately, including updating personal and medical information.
  • Answer pharmacy inquiries via phone promptly.
  • Check in pharmacy appointments and notify staff of patient arrivals.
Experience and Education
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
  • Previous pharmacy or community health experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
  • Valid NC Driver License.
  • Basic computer skills, organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.
Schedule

Monday 8 am - 8 pm, Tuesday to Friday 8 am - 5 pm, with day and afternoon shifts.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods, occasional bending, lifting, reaching.
  • Travel within the local area as needed.
