Qualifications

  • A.A.S. degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from an accredited institution.
  • FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings (A&P).
  • At least two years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Ability to provide effective classroom and laboratory instruction and evaluate student achievement using established competency standards.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, instructional technology, and a college learning management system.
  • Commitment to teaching excellence, student success, and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver AMT classroom and laboratory instruction using approved course materials and syllabi.
  • Supervise practical projects and ensure safe use of data, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assess and document student knowledge, risk management, and skill performance.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and competency records.
  • Maintain a safe, professional classroom and laboratory environment.
  • Use the College LMS and instructional technologies effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with students and the AMT Program Manager.
  • Participate in orientation, training, meetings, and course coordination.
  • Perform other instructional duties as assigned.
