Job summary

Kalitta Air, Llc is seeking a Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Oscoda, MI to supervise maintenance activities on company aircraft. You will oversee technicians and apprentices, ensuring work aligns with FAA standards and company procedures.

Strong emphasis on training, documentation, and safety is required. You will coordinate with Maintenance Supervisors, manage tool control, and ensure proper records and logbooks are kept up to date.

Qualifications

• FAA-certificated mechanic with Airframe, Powerplant or both ratings (may be reviewed based on Location and position).
• Two years of experience performing maintenance on Boeing 747-400 or 777F / 777-300 or similar aircraft.
• Maintenance checks, gear changes, and component maintenance on large aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist approved work by Supervisors within the scheduled shift.
• Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records.
• Oversee on-the-job training to ensure proper qualification standards are met.
• Coordinate activities with Maintenance Supervisors.
• Research information for scheduled aircraft work and maintain tool control.
