Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Manager to serve as the on-site liaison with Government, directing daily maintenance activities for aircraft and flight schedules while ensuring safety and contract compliance.

The role requires senior management experience in aviation systems, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with customers. A U.S. Secret clearance is required; a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fifteen+ years of diverse management experience, including aviation systems.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in academia, technical training, or military background preferred.
• Experience in flight test, evaluation, and integration activities.
• Excellent communication, analytical, project management, and supervisory abilities.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Primary on-site liaison for maintenance management with Government.
• Ensure safe, compliant aircraft maintenance and flying schedules per contract.
• Assign daily maintenance workload to staff.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks, requirements, and issues with the customer.
• Develop plans, schedules, and implement requirements.
• Ensure only qualified personnel use proper equipment and tools.
• Maintain safety directives and occupational safety standards.
