Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services Corp. in Marana, AZ is seeking a Director of Maintenance for our B777 Passenger-to-Freighter Conversion Program. You will lead the heavy aircraft modification team, ensuring FAA compliance, safety, and high performance, reporting to the President.

This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in structures modification, heavy maintenance, and FAA Part 145 operations, overseeing budgets, staffing, and strategic execution across maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in aviation maintenance or aerospace operations.
• Experience managing heavy modification programs and regulatory compliance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and workforce planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership over maintenance operations, ensuring FAA regulations and company policies are followed.
• Oversee Maintenance Control, Line Stations, and Technical Support teams for service quality.
• Build and maintain customer relationships as the primary maintenance contact.
• Ensure availability of skilled labor, tooling, and support services to meet demands.
• Drive workforce readiness with training and regulatory qualifications.
• Develop long- and short-term maintenance plans and schedules to meet commitments.
