Job summary

Jet Excellence is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Controller to join our charter operations. This dual-role position combines maintenance planning with hands-on mechanic work to ensure fleet readiness and safety.

You will oversee day-to-day maintenance, coordinate with operations, monitor aircraft status in real-time, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required to meet operational needs.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Aviation Maintenance Controller to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Control

• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations of the fleet
• Support the DOM with assigned tasks
• Monitor aircraft status in real-time, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards and company procedures
• Collaborate with operations to optimize aircraft availability and minimize disruptions
• Analyze maintenance data to forecast potential issues and implement preventative measures
• Communicate with the FAA as needed

Qualifications

• FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required
• Previous experience in aviation maintenance control and as a mechanic
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, and aircraft systems
• Proficiency in maintenance software and diagnostic tools
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs dictate
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
• Must reside in and be eligible to work in the United States
