Job summary

RTX Columbus Engine Center seeks an operations mechanic to support the Military Engine Center of Excellence (MECoE) in Disassembly, Assembly and Test (DAT). The role involves flight-quality jet engine assembly/disassembly and related operations to meet production schedules. Shift is 1st: Mon-Thu 5 am–4 pm, onsite at the Columbus, GA site.

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in aviation mechanic role or appropriate technical training (ASE certification or military mechanic equivalent).
• U.S. citizenship is required to access program information.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team member on turbine engine, engine module, or component maintenance following instructions.
• Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble/disassemble and test jet engines.
• Ensure all assembly/disassembly steps meet work instructions and quality standards.
• Monitor safety, quality and delivery objectives throughout the processes.
