Job summary

Rivet Operations Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) / Program Lead at Cherry Point, NC to set and execute IT strategy for ALD systems and advise on AI and cloud technologies to boost readiness.

Responsibilities include leading software, IT infrastructure, and engineering teams, managing budgets, and ensuring DON cybersecurity compliance through site visits and program-level configuration management for aviation IT systems.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Master’s degree in related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with USMC aviation information systems deployment doctrine and Navy program-of-record information systems.
• Experience managing IT budgets and cybersecurity compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee IT strategies that support 2nd MAW ALD goals, advise leadership on emerging technologies (AI, cloud, etc.) to enhance readiness, and manage the technical vision for ALD systems.
• Oversee software development, IT infrastructure, and engineering team members. Support management of IT resources and budgets.
• Communicate with vendors.
• Assist in developing digital presentations and documentation.
• Oversee the modernization, upgrade, repair, and lifecycle support of IT infrastructure.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with Department of Navy (DON) cybersecurity standards, including conducting site visits to ensure cyber hygiene.
• Provide site-level configuration management support for aviation programs of record (e.g., NALCOMIS, ALIS/ODIN), and manage and troubleshoot server operating systems (e.g., RHEL), including technical training and support for aviation IT systems and communication equipment.
