Job summary

Rivet Operations Company LLC is seeking an Intermediate AI Engineer to serve as the principal architect for AI/ML and cloud efforts at Cherry Point, NC. The role drives modernization of legacy applications into secure, cloud-based solutions that improve aircraft readiness.

The engineer will define architecture, enforce coding standards, and support RMF/ATO processes while mentoring staff and collaborating with government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and deploying ML models and AI apps.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL; familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience designing and maintaining AI systems and cloud environments on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Ability to mentor junior technical staff and work with DoD RMF/ATO processes.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the overall technical architecture for ALD software, AI/ML, and cloud systems.
• Design, develop, train, and improve ML models for predictive maintenance.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain secure applications on government-owned infrastructure.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and IaC.
• Integrate language models into existing software and enforce data privacy.
