Job summary

FSB Architects + Engineers seeks an experienced Interior Designer for its Aviation Studio in Denver, CO. You will lead interior design efforts for aviation projects, coordinating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver durable, passenger-friendly environments.

The role requires a 3+ year design background, Revit proficiency, and knowledge of codes and materials. NCIDQ preferred; the company offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field from a CIDA-accredited program.
  • 3+ years of professional interior design experience; aviation design experience preferred.
  • NCIDQ certification or licensure preferred, or actively pursuing certification.
  • Proficiency in Revit; Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, or other design tools.
  • Knowledge of building codes, accessibility, interior construction, materials, and industry standards.
  • Strong design, space planning, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to interior design efforts for aviation projects through all phases of design and documentation.
  • Develop design concepts, space plans, finish palettes, material selections, and furniture solutions aligned with client goals.
  • Translate design concepts into functional, durable environments that support passenger experience and airport operations.
  • Prepare and coordinate interior design drawings, specifications, details, schedules, and construction documents.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and other disciplines to integrate interior design with building systems.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, design reviews, and coordination meetings.
  • Research and select materials, finishes, furnishings, and products based on aesthetics, performance, maintenance, sustainability, and budget.
  • Support construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and coordination of design-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to developing designers while contributing to a collaborative studio environment.
