Job summary

FSB Architects + Engineers, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks an experienced Interior Designer for its Aviation Studio in Los Angeles, CA. You will lead interior design for aviation projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create functional, durable, and welcoming spaces.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in Interior Design (or related field), 3+ years in aviation design, Revit proficiency, and NCIDQ preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field from a CIDA-accredited program.
• 3+ years of professional interior design experience; aviation projects preferred.
• NCIDQ certification or licensure preferred, or actively pursuing certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design efforts for aviation projects through all design and documentation phases.
• Develop concepts, space plans, finishes, and furniture systems aligned with client goals.
• Translate concepts into durable environments supporting passenger experience and operations.
• Prepare interior design drawings, specifications, details, schedules, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to integrate interior design with building systems.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and coordination meetings.
• Research materials and finishes based on aesthetics, performance, maintenance, and budget.
• Support construction administration including submittals, RFIs, site visits, and issue resolution.
• Provide mentorship to developing designers and foster a collaborative studio environment.
