Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an inspector to perform visual and dimensional inspections across the Service Shop and to conduct functional tests on aircraft components as needed. You will verify test setups and execute all required part and process verifications, using appropriate inspection techniques and equipment while maintaining comprehensive records.

Direct supervision of others may be required, and knowledge of shop math, precision instruments, and basic machining concepts will support

Qualifications

  • Experience inspecting aircraft hardware.
  • Demonstrate use of basic precision measuring instruments including micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
  • Ability to use shop math, including fractions, decimals and ability to learn trigonometry and geometry.
  • Experience working with computers, applications, and keyboarding.
  • Possess analytical aptitude with methodical attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection across all areas of Service Shop.
  • Perform functional tests on aircraft components and simple plate layout on incoming materials as necessary.
  • Verify test setups and perform all types of parts and process verifications using necessary inspection techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain necessary records and perform related duties.
  • Direct or instruct others as required.
