Job summary

Bombardier seeks a Hydraulic Mechanical Technician at our Wichita Service/Completion Center to inspect, repair, overhaul and test pneudraulic-mechanical components. The role requires basic machining experience and ability to work with engineers to improve components.

Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and documentation. Expect to perform disassembly, measurement, cleaning, coating, reassembly and functional testing.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience inspecting, repairing, overhauling and testing pneudraulic-mechanical components.
• 1 year machining experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to general work requirements and conduct preliminary visual inspection for damage to components.
• Check part and serial numbers to determine configuration and perform preliminary functional tests.
• Disassemble components, clean parts, measure for conformity, and record results with pass/reject decisions.
• Assist with estimating parts and labor for repairs; order necessary parts and assist with overhaul.
• Replace, repair, or overhaul aircraft parts of basic to moderate complexity, e.g., brakes, wheels, actuators, struts.
• Reapply coatings, reassemble, and conduct functional tests to verify operation per specs.
• Assist engineers and designers to develop more efficient components; may perform machining tasks for GSE.
• Operate tools and basic industrial equipment; maintain hand tools and comply with safety policies.
