Job summary

Bombardier in Wichita, KS seeks a Mechanic, Modification, Repair & Overhaul to support final assembly, system installation, and on-aircraft modifications. The role covers servicing hydraulic, ECS, anti-ice, and electrical systems, with hands-on testing and documentation.

You will read engineering documents, operate ground support equipment, and ensure safety procedures are followed for power-on aircraft. On-site and virtual interview options available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience working on aircraft final assembly and system installation.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.
• Ability to operate ground support equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.
• Working knowledge of electrical aircraft systems.
• Ability to read system schematics.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
• Ability to obtain and renew required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to General Work Requirements.
• Service various aircraft systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, anti-ice, ECS, and more) per model.
• Perform functional tests simulating ground and flight conditions.
• Weigh aircraft to obtain empty weight.
• Assist troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic-mechanical systems to component level.
• Inspect and repair aircraft parts and systems in close-out areas.
• Assemble/install aircraft components and racks.
• Prepare aircraft paperwork and turn to flight.
• Assist with jacking and moving aircraft/equipment.
• Analyze hydraulic fluid contamination for applicable models.
