Job summary

Glendale, CA is seeking a Disassembly Tech to join a busy engineering and manufacturing company specializing in aviation components. The role is full-time, temp-to-hire, with a pay rate of $20/hr to $24/hr based on experience. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.

The position emphasizes improving workflow and implementing standard work. Responsibilities include preparing parts for disassembly, following drawings, using hand and power tools, disassembling hydraulic components,

Qualifications

• This individual must be able to operate hydraulic test equipment after appropriate training.
• Familiarity and experience with basic hand tools, power tools and other auxiliary machines.
• Responsible for working in a safe manner and observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety matters
• Previous experience in assembly/disassembly or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for disassembly.
• Read manual drawings and follow instructions.
• Uses hand tools and shop power tools.
• Disassemble a range of simple to complex hydraulic aircraft components that require precise placement.
• Responsible for inspecting, cleaning and assembling wheel assembly components into final assembly and performing required testing necessary for final product acceptance.
• Perform work according to the Components Maintenance Manuals provided by the OEM and Service Orders.
• Ensure that all rebuilt parts have been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and repaired as necessary.
• Ensures that all rebuilt products are tested to the same tolerances and limits as a new item, to approved oversized or undersized dimensions.
