Job summary

GA Telesis, based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeks a 2nd Shift Disassembly/Assembly Technician for on-site, full-time work focused on aircraft components and assemblies. You will disassemble, clean, inspect, and tag parts while following FAA-approved procedures and OEM data to ensure safety and quality across the production line.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent plus 1–3 years of related experience.
• Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies using drawings and manufacturing plans.
• Ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify or repair OEM equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
• Follow approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting FAA-approved procedures, OEM data, and work package instructions.
• Utilize knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
• Demonstrate knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair and assess functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
• Operate tools such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and other specialized equipment.
• Apply technical expertise to execute complex structures work including drilling, riveting, and system installations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and retrofit requirements for structural modification/repair.
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required.
