Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Technician to ensure the operational readiness of aviation ground support gear. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet of motorized and non-motorized equipment, upholding strict safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of verified experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to provide your own professional-grade tools and toolbox.
• Proficiency with tablets and computers for documentation and diagnostics.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on engines, transmissions, and complex hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
• Ensure fleet reliability by conducting routine inspections and servicing equipment with necessary fluids and compressed air.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate service logs and documentation to track repairs, parts usage, and equipment status.
• Execute bodywork and structural repairs on components such as towing hitches, bag carts, and conveyor systems.
• Collaborate with team members to uphold high safety standards and operational efficiency across the facility.
