Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5+ years of experience in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or GSE maintenance preferred.
• Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Strong proficiency with diagnostic tools including multi-meters, scan tools, pressure gauges, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and OEM technical manuals.
• Understanding of PM programs, predictive indicators, and reliability-centered maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems across all GSE types.
• Complete complex repairs including engine work, hydraulic system rebuilds, electrical harness repairs, brake system overhauls, and major component replacements.
• Interpret and apply OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and diagnostic flowcharts.
• Perform root cause analysis on repeat or high impact failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Mentor and support Technician I and II employees by demonstrating proper repair techniques, safety practices, and documentation standards.
• Perform advanced electrical testing including voltage drop analysis, continuity testing, load testing, and charging system diagnostics.
• Conduct advanced hydraulic diagnostics including pressure testing, valve troubleshooting, and cylinder performance evaluation.
• Document all work performed using CMMS (AssetWorks) following CCC standards and reliability-focused documentation practices.
• Ensure all repairs meet OEM specifications, safety requirements, Unifi, EPA and OSHA regulatory standards.
• Assist with parts identification, inventory control, and verification of correct components for complex repairs.
• Communicate effectively with Leads, Management, and Operations regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and reliability concerns.
• Support shop organization, tool control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
