Job summary

PrimeFlight is hiring a GSE Mechanic Level II in Irvine, CA to repair and maintain ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, trucks and more. You will perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Requirements include 3 years of verified experience, own tools, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background and drug screens. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, is expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• 3 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work to be done on each piece
• Inspect, Maintain, Troubleshoot, Replace, Repair or Modify engines and transmissions
• Inspect electrical systems
• Inspect brakes and braking systems
• Diagnose, Troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, industry standards and safety regulations
• Remove, test, repair or replace components and accessories
• Check and adjust tolerance of valves, bearings, cams, clutches and drive shafts
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment
• Complete associated paperwork and track parts
• Adhere to all safety procedures and PrimFlight safety standards
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
