Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. seeks a GSE Mechanic Level I to repair and maintain a range of ground support equipment including tugs and belt loaders. You will perform advanced maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and document work performed on each unit.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of verified experience, own tools, and valid driver's license. The role requires flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday shifts in a busy aviation environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 1-2 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Eligibility to acquire FAA/RAIC/TSA and Port Authority clearances.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain motorized and non-motorized ground service equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and pushbacks.
• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers and describe work performed.
• Inspect and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, tires and related components.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manufacturer guidelines.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Complete paperwork and track parts; adhere to safety procedures.
