Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level I to repair and maintain ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, trucks and more. Primary duties include advanced maintenance and repair of a wide range of equipment.

The role requires 1-2 years of verified experience, own tools, and ability to work 4x10 shifts; candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. This is an on-site position at our Phoenix, AZ location.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• 1-2 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access information in print and electronically, including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain ground service equipment (tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, trucks).
• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers and describe work to be done on each piece.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair or modify engines, transmissions, brakes, undercarriages, wheels and tires.
• Diagnose problems with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems per manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.
• Complete associated paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment.
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
