Job summary

Swissport International AG is hiring a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport support vehicles and equipment. Training on airport-specific equipment will be provided, even for those without prior aviation experience.

The role involves working outdoors year-round, with opportunities to learn hydraulic systems and de-ice procedures. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for training are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy equipment, diesel engines, and fleet maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diverse airport support equipment.
• Willingness to travel for training or to assist other SP stations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment – motorized and non-motorized.
• Perform preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments of ground support equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe workshop.
