Swissport is seeking a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of airport support equipment. No aviation experience is required, and we provide training on airport-specific systems.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Trade school training and/or mechanical background.
• Good oral and verbal communication skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Willing to clean and maintain a safe workshop.
• Willing to travel for training or to assist other SP stations as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive all types of GSE equipment – motorized and non-motorized.
• Perform preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment.
• Willing to learn hydraulic systems and perform deicing training as required.
• Respond to emergency service calls and accidents involving GSE.
• Complete maintenance/repair documentation per SP requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop and report deficiencies to management.
