Job summary

Unifi Aviation LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a senior GSE Lead Technician to coordinate daily workflow, mentor technicians, and ensure the reliability of all Ground Support Equipment repairs. You will serve as the technical authority in the shop, performing advanced diagnostics and guiding teams to maintain readiness and safety.

This role emphasizes leadership, hands-on expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and strict adherence to quality, documentation, and OEM standards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or GSE maintenance preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical/electrical/hydraulic issues.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools including multi-meters, scan tools, and pressure gauges.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and OEM manuals.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capability for technicians at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily work for technician levels.
• Lead advanced diagnostics and repairs across GSE types.
• Ensure safety, PM standards, and proper documentation compliance.
• Perform RCA on repeat or high-impact failures and recommend actions.
• Mentor Technician I–III and support onboarding and training.
• Communicate status and timelines with management and operations.
