Job summary

Swissport International is seeking a Ground Handling - Classroom & OJT Trainer to deliver classroom and on-the-job training, airline-specific training, signoffs, and performance evaluations at stations. The role includes acting as interim supervisor for new hires until they can work independently, with a pay rate of $36.77/hour and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industry experience in airline Ground Handling operations.
• Ability to travel up to 10% with travel across the United States and Canada.
• Ability to pass security clearance and possess a valid driver's license.
• Strong communications skills and ability to influence without authority.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite recommended.
• Customer Service oriented.
• Flexibility to work various shifts for training demands.
• Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and evaluation methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed training in instructor/virtual formats, e-learning, self-directed training, and on-the-job training.
• Oversee Ground Handling Classroom & OJT including final assessment and sign-off.
• Follow Swissport policies and operate equipment per SSOW/SOP.
• Actively monitor and promote best practices across the station.
• Implement internal quality assurance activities including audits.
• Continuously assess training to ensure staff competence and confidence.
• Maintain compliance across the station.
• Maintain relationships with SMEs to ensure relevant training.
• Be a role model and exhibit best practices.
• Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance and behavior.
• Report training activity to ensure accurate data tracking.
• Support nearby stations as needed.
• Forecast and plan for new hire and recurrent training with regional HR/Operations.
• Deliver and facilitate initial and recurrent training to global/local standards.
• Administer examinations/reports for training programs.
• Assist with New Hire tracking for smooth transitions.
• Assist with on-the-job coaching for designated areas and coaches.
• Maintain currency in the operation.
