Job summary

Menzies Aviation Austin is seeking a Shift Supervisor to supervise and coordinate all Aircraft Fuelers in Fueling Operations, ensuring safety and efficiency. You’ll issue instructions, oversee performance, and maintain quality in daily fueling and defueling tasks.

The role requires prior fueling experience, leadership skills, and a valid US driver's license. Strong English communication and the ability to lift 70lbs are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Prior Aircraft Fueling experience required.
• Prior management/supervisory or lead experience in the aviation industry preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess and maintain a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• Possess FAA required identification/seals or authorizations.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months experience as a Lead Fueler.

Responsibilities

• Reviews data on incoming flights, such as scheduled or estimated times of arrival or departure, destinations and down line station stops, in order to plan work activities
• Directs and coordinates all operations functions and ensures workers and equipment are available for fueling and defueling services
• Supervise Aircraft Fueling Operations to ensure Fuelers are performing their duties in a professional, safe and efficient manner, according to Company/Carrier’s standards
• Ensure the effective operation of fueling
• Prepare and submit reports, as required, such as staffing updates, shift reports, delay reports and equipment status reports
• Responsible for accurate accounting and fuel transactions
• Recommending manpower requirements
• Maintaining harmony among workers and resolving grievances
