Job summary

Swissport in Michigan is seeking a Fuel Facilities Operator to maintain and repair tank farm assets and manage fuel storage operations. You will interface with delivery drivers and airline customers, ensure compliance with ATA 103 and ASTM standards, and uphold quality controls across facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass safety and math tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and pass a color blindness test.
• Pass the Tank Farm Operator math skills test.
• Must follow Swissport policies and procedures as directed by the station.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Accept petroleum products into all storage facilities in accordance with ATA 103 established procedures and quality controls.
• Train new employees as directed by supervisors.
• Ensure quality control of fuel and facility inspections.
• Perform periodic and scheduled inspections of equipment per the GPPM.
• Ensure integrity of fuel hydrant systems in accordance with ATA 103 criteria and Swissport GPPM.
• Ensure quality control of fuel and facilities inspections in accordance with ASTM and ATA (103).
• Perform and assist with repairs and maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Assist with calibration of equipment.
• Work on loading racks and fuel storage equipment.
• Update records and inspection forms.
• Complete paperwork as instructed by Supervisors. Report discrepancies.
• Inspect equipment and document, report discrepancies.
• Perform quality control of fuel in accordance with ASTM and ATA standards.
• Assist with clean-up of fuel spills.
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• Be able to work mandatory overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by your immediate Supervisor
