Job summary

Texas Christian University seeks a Flight Experience Coordinator to serve as the liaison between the university and its flight training providers, coordinating academic components of the flight education program and assisting with FAA Part 141 certification.

The role coordinates with students, faculty, and external partners to ensure program alignment with FAA standards, monitors progress, and may serve as instructor of record for designated courses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, Aviation Management, or related field.
• 3 years of progressively responsible experience in flight instruction, aviation education, or program administration.
• Experience with FAA Part 141 and/or Part 61 flight schools.
• Experience collaborating with students, faculty, FAA personnel, and aviation partners.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between the university and flight training providers to support the aviation program.
• Support FAA program approval planning, documentation, and compliance.
• Develop and monitor MOUs, affiliation agreements, contracts with partners.
• Coordinate academic components and ensure alignment with curriculum and FAA regulations.
• Supervise or serve as instructor of record for designated courses.
• Monitor student progression and advise on ratings.
• Maintain flight records and program outcome data.
• Support student recruitment, orientation, retention, and career readiness.
• Collaborate with offices and partners for program activities.
• Stay updated on FAA regulations and industry trends.
• Serve on college committees.
