Job summary
Yoh is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Texas to provide expert technical support for our lithium-ion aircraft battery, power conversion, and electrical power system products. You will troubleshoot issues and deliver top-notch customer service.
Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, supporting installation and configuration, and coordinating with Quality and Engineering for root cause analysis. Occasional travel up to 15% is required; strong aviation background is essential.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of direct aviation experience in a customer-support environment.
- Deep knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and troubleshooting of installation/operation.
- Experience testing/inspecting avionics and electrical systems for field operation.
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA requirements and DO standards related to certification activities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job description
As a Field Service Engineer focused you’ll provide expert technical support for our full lineup of lithium-ion aircraft battery, power conversion and other electrical power system products. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be able to accurately troubleshoot technical issues, while providing a top-notch customer experience.
THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF…
•
You have a minimum of 5 years of direct aviation experience and technical support activities in a customer support environment.
•
You have extensive knowledge and understanding of aircraft electrical systems and are skilled at troubleshooting and problem-solving system installation and operation.
•
You are experienced in conducting tests and inspections of aircraft avionics and electrical systems to evaluate field function and operation.
•
You have knowledge of aviation certification requirements and disciplines such as DO-160, DO-254, DO-178, DO-311a as they relate to TSO, Type Certification or Supplemental Type Certification activities.
•
You have experience with FAR Part repair station requirements, FAR Parts 91, 23, 25 operations and current FAA and EASA requirements.
•
You are proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
•
You have strong attention to detail.
•
You are organized, focused, and results oriented.
•
You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
•
You have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•
You are comfortable spending most of the day on the phone at your desk in an open office environment.

You have a working familiarity with aircraft instruments and avionics and would be able to provide technical support for those types of products in a backup capacity.
•
You have knowledge of FAA Special Conditions.
•
You have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

You hold a FAA A&P and/or pilot certification.
