Job summary

WSP is seeking an Aviation Energy & Utilities Program Manager for our Newark, New Jersey office. The role leads multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of aviation energy projects such as CUP, CHRP, and COGEN facilities.

The successful candidate will act as a technical leader and owner’s representative for airport clients, ensuring compliant execution within active airport environments while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in airport energy and utility infrastructure projects, especially cogeneration.
• Experience with PANYNJ or similar airport authorities design and construction standards.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams on aviation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy & utility infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
• Serve as technical leader and owner’s representative to airport clients.
• Coordinate with airport owners, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Manage project financials, schedules, staffing, and risk management.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all project phases.
