Job summary

Parker Hannifin in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an Assembler / Tester A to join its FAA-regulated repair station environment. The role involves hands-on assembly, test setup, functional verification, and light machining of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic components.

You will work with limited supervision to support throughput and schedules for military and commercial repair programs, perform tests, record data, and ensure compliance with quality and engineering requirements.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in assembly, testing, manufacturing, or repair environments preferred.
• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring devices, and basic test equipment.
• Ability to follow troubleshooting steps, identify issues, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Ability to work with limited supervision while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team-based environment.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic components per drawings and procedures.
• Perform assembly on electronics box, indicators, sensors, and hardware.
• Execute torque, lock-wiring, sealing, fastening, and detailing operations.
• Support functional, pressure, flow, and electrical testing.
• Record test data and escalate discrepancies in quality systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Coordinate with test, engineering, quality, and planning teams.
