Job summary

PG Aerotech in Hauppauge, NY, seeks an Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to prepare design data for aircraft parts, leveraging reverse engineering and FAA collaboration. You will design automated test equipment and data acquisition systems, supporting repairs and part qualification while coordinating with certification teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in aerospace design, familiarity with FAA standards, and strong skills in CAD, scripting, and test instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of full-time relevant work experience in design, manufacturing, or quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design data for electrical/electromechanical aircraft parts using reverse engineering.
• Coordinate with FAA Designated Engineering Representatives and certification teams.
• Develop and validate automated test equipment (ATE) and data acquisition systems.
• Create certification packages and technical documents following FAA guidelines.
• Provide engineering support for procurement, manufacturing, receiving, and certification of parts.
• Analyze in-service failures to determine root cause and develop repair procedures.
