Job summary

Zodiac Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in circuit design, integration, testing, troubleshooting and failure analysis.

You will work on circuit-level engineering for PBAs, analog and power electronics, and laboratory validation in an aerospace/avionics context. The role requires 15+ years in circuit design/integration and a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or power electronics, with familiarity of DO-160/DO-254/DO-178B

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or power electronics, plus 15+ years circuit design experience.
• Experience with circuit design, integration, testing, and failure analysis.
• Experience with aerospace/avionics environments is highly desirable.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in electrical circuit design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in circuit-level engineering, printed board assemblies, analog electronics, power electronics, and hands-on laboratory testing. Experience in aerospace/avionics environments and familiarity with DO-160, DO-254, or DO-178B standards is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and components
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources
• Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion
• Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
• Complete assignments by applying electrical engineering methods
• Generate Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) for Printed Board Assemblies (PBAs)
• Leverage knowledge of circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems/failures uncovered by circuit card tests.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics or equivalent
• Typically, 15+ years working with circuit design integration and test experience

Preferred :

• Experience with Mentor Graphix DxDesigner or equivalent circuit design tool set
• Analog circuit design experience and standard lab equipment (meters, probes, etc.)
• Ability to produce white papers to document investigation findings, test results, and outcomes of trade studies
• Knowledge of obsolescence parts replacement, identification of substitute parts, and making board level drawing changes
• Experience with circuit design, circuit simulation, and analysis at a level required for fault isolation and hands-on troubleshooting
• Familiarity with aircraft/aerospace test standards such as DO-178B, DO-160, or DO-254
