Buro Happold is seeking an Associate Principal Electrical Engineer – Aviation to join our hybrid team in Washington, DC. You will lead technical delivery on complex aviation projects, coordinate with clients, architects and other engineers, and help grow the practice.

Responsibilities include designing and supervising electrical systems, managing scope, budgets and schedules, ensuring FAA compliance and building codes, and mentoring junior staff while advancing business development in the

Formación

• 12+ years of electrical engineering design in the building services and construction industry.
• 10+ years of aviation experience.
• Strong understanding of FAA requirements, airport operational constraints, and industry best practices.
• Ability to manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Excellent client relationship management and business development skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred; LEED AP preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit; familiarity with AGI or DIALux; Excel macros.
