Job summary

Textron Aviation in Independence, KS seeks a Delivery Coordinator Intern to support the customer delivery process from order to departure. You will assist with pre-delivery activities, acceptance flights, and documentation for international export where needed.

You’ll work with internal teams such as Quality, Airworthiness and Certification to ensure accuracy and build hands-on experience in aviation operations and customer service during a 10-week, on-site internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or other related field.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new concepts and apply them.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office products.
• Professional demeanor, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to work with the public, customers, and interdepartmental personnel.

Responsibilities

• Participates in pre-delivery activities including IFR acceptance flights, paint reviews, Completion Center meetings, customer post-delivery de-briefs, triages meetings.
• Coordinates and manages the customer delivery acceptance process including: aircraft documents, operation of equipment, subscriptions, loose equipment, WSC briefings and departure.
• Presents aircraft certification documents to international aviation authorities to export an aircraft; coordinates with Quality, Airworthiness and Certification to resolve issues.
• Manages customer delivery presentation including aircraft placement, signage, carpet, photographer, events, displays, and special requests.
• Demonstrates and inventories loose equipment with customer.
• Assists customers with aircraft departure including loading equipment, spare parts, catering, stores, electronic equipment, software updates, luggage, and special requests; tracks backorders and shipments.
• Maintains delivery hangars, customer delivery areas, equipment rooms, presentation equipment and safety items.
• Coordinates with internal departments to identify root causes and corrective actions to improve product quality or delivery process.
• Ensures complete customer satisfaction throughout process; maintain a professional demeanor.
